How can I use the Samba server of SAPIDO router with Windows XP, 7, MAC OS ?
Sapido launches various broadband router with inbuilt samba server, which allows computers within same local area network (LAN) can easily access to it for files upload, download, or edit.... Moreover, it could also works as the file servers of your iPad, iPhone....etc. No need to download files to iPad/iPhone, nor synchronizing with iTune, you can enjoy the WiFi media streaming effortlessly.
Now, we will show you how samba server work with computer of Windows X, 7 OS. Please get your Sapido router (GR-1733) and external USB HDD now!
Ⅰ、Samba Using Methods (Win XP):
1. Power on the in-built Samba server router, and wait till green Wireless/WPS light is on. Connect the external disk or USB flash drive into Samba server, and samba server will build up automatically.

1. Power on the in-built Samba server router, and wait till green Wireless/WPS light is on. Connect the external disk or USB flash drive into Samba server, and samba server will build up automatically.
2. After connecting your computer to the router (wired or wirelessly), select "Start” → "Computer". Choose “Network” on the left menu, then "ROUTER SAMBA"
3. Choose “Router SAMBA”, and click the file folder which is built up automatically. The files in this folder can then be shared.
Ⅲ、Samba Using Methods (MAC) :
1. Power on the in-built Samba server router, and wait till green Wireless/WPS light is on. Connect the external disk or USB flash drive into Samba server, and samba server will build up automatically.
2. After connecting your computer to the router (wired or wirelessly), select “Go” on the upper menu, and click “Connect to Server”.
3. Type smb://192.168.1.1 on the Server Address, and click “Connect”.
4. When the window pops up “SAPIDO_GR-1733_sda1” , click “OK”.
5. The system will ask for name and password. Just ignore it and click“OK”.
(It is not necessary to key the username and password in Samba function.)
6. SAPIDO_GR-1733_sda1 will show on the left menu, and the files can then be shared.
7. The SAPIDO_GR-1733_sda1 file folder will show on the desktop, you can see the folder next time you turn on the computer without setting again.
